CBA President Mike Hess recently wrote an article for the CT Post, extolling the many virtues of contract bridge:

It helps sharpen memory, focus and strategic thinking.

Neuroscientists have found that participating in complex mental activities like Bridge can help improve a range of cognitive functions. As such, it is no longer just a “game my grandparents used to play when we were kids,” but rather an important social activity for the here and now.
